Learning Mentor for Key stage 4 

H5 £24,030 - £25,809 pro rata (Actual salary £20,462 - £21,976) 36 HPW Term Time Only
Canons High School are looking to recruit a Learning Mentor, for Key Stage 4 students (Years 9 to 11).  This role will involve working with a Director and Assistant Director of Key Stage 4 in ensuring that the pastoral needs of students are fully met.  Learning Mentors will work directly with other staff at the school, the students themselves and their families to help identify and respond to any possible barriers to effective learning and achievement.

Teacher of Music 

Required for September 2020 - full time
Salary MPS/UPS (+OLA)

We have a temporary vacancy for a part time Teacher of Music with the option to be full time covering other lessons from January 2020. This role has significant potential to become full time and permanent for the right candidate from September 2020.  The successful applicant must be qualified to teach music at GCSE level.
We are an extremely vibrant, multicultural school in Harrow, NW London and are very proud to serve a comprehensive intake of students who make good progress and achieve well in their time with us.

Teacher of Economics

A full-time post is offered but applications from those wishing to work part-time will also be considered

Economics is taught at A Level in Canons High School.  Students follow the OCR syllabus and use ‘Economics’ by Alain Anderton (6th Edition) as the core text book.  There are currently two Year 12 classes and one Year 13 class.  Other resources such as Tutor2U activities and You Tube video clips are used to supplement learning; and there is a culture of shared planning of presentations and materials in the department.
