Creative Performance and Media Arts Faculty
Head of Faculty: Leah Macnamara
The Creative, Performance and Media Arts Faculty is comprised of Art, Drama, Media Studies, Photography and Music, all of which are popular choices for students for both GCSE and A level and are studied by all students at KS3. As part of the Creative Arts community students get the opportunity to explore a range of different creative subjects in a unique learning environment. Our main priority is to ensure that our students receive a high standard of teaching and learning, and this is reflective in our excellent results and the many students who go on to pursue careers in the Creative Industries.
A large focus of The Creative Arts Faculty is the extra-curricular programme that is led by our experienced team. Each year we run a school musical which is open to all of our Creative Arts students. Our students thrive in performing in a professional standard production. Previous shows have included Little Shop of Horrors, Bugsy Malone and Fame. Additionally, our students have access to Media, Music, Drama, Art and Photography clubs and competitions and many students take part in Harrow Music Services instrumental lessons. We also regularly visit the theatre and various galleries in the West End.
Former Creative Arts students have gone on to have leading roles in West End productions, work in the media, study music at Cambridge and work in a variety of exciting jobs in the creative industries.
