Year 7's Outdoor Escape Room Challenge

12th June | by Mrs Balani

Our Year 7 trip to Central London was an unforgettable adventure, as students took on an outdoor escape room challenge across Covent Garden, Neal’s Yard, and Leicester Square.

The weather was bright and sunny, perfect for our competitors!

Students were following the Mystery Guide "Who Pushed Molly May?" a 5 hour adventure, taking them on an exciting puzzle through the heart of London’s Theatreland,  following the maps, unlocking the clues, and unravelling the epic tale.

Competing against other schools, our students threw themselves into the mission—decoding encrypted messages, picking up hidden clues, and sprinting through the streets with incredible enthusiasm and determination. Their competitive spirit was unmatched, and despite all the running around, not a single accident occurred—so we’ll count that as a win!

Each student filled their own personal booklets, tracking their progress of the mystery...

The students were exceptionally well-behaved throughout, especially on the Tube, and we were proud to hear McDonald’s staff praising them for their politeness and how they tidied up after themselves.

Students could not miss the opportunity to snap a picture with the "Litchfield Street" sign, which could quite possibly be named after our beloved R.E teacher, Mr Litchfield!

We practically had to drag them all away from Covent Garden at the ending of the adventure—they didn’t want it to finish! A huge thank you to our amazing team, Mrs Hutchins, Ms Kiashek, Mr Kaya, Ms Wu and Ms Varsani, who helped to make this trip possible.

We also would like to thank our amazing Year 7 students for their impeccable behaviour, dedication and enthusiasm throughout the day! You have done Canons' High School proud!
