Year 12 Hertfordshire University Taster Day
5th June | by Ms Strat
Our Year 12 students had an exciting opportunity to visit the University of Hertfordshire for the day. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to plan their future pathway and research what is on offer from the individual universities’ staff and stalls as well as apprenticeship and employment opportunities.
UH's Main Campus!
They were able to choose from a wide variety of subjects, including Accounting and Finance, Film and Creative Media, Architecture, Art and Design, Biological Sciences, Business, Engineering, English and Creative Writing, Geography, Health and Social Work, History, Philosophy, Media and Journalism, Music, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, and Sports.

Students got a real taste of different types of courses and had the chance to speak directly with scholars and professors in their fields of interest. In addition to attending taster sessions, they enjoyed exploring the campus, socialising over lunch, and connecting with current university students. Each student also received a university starter goodie bag as a memento of their visit. It was a valuable experience that offered insight into university life and helped inspire their future academic journeys.
Thank you to the University's staff and students who guided us throughout the day, alongside Ms Strat and the KS5 Team for organising this trip!
