British Council presents Canons High with International School Award

We are extremely proud to announce that we have just been awarded the International School Award | Foundation Level, by the British Council.

The wording on the official letter which accompanied the certificate reads...

Dear Head Teacher

BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD - FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE

Congratulations to you and your pupils on gaining the International School Award Foundation Certificate: Introducing Internationalism. You have demonstrated an excellent start in promoting the international dimension across your school and highlighting the benefits of learning in a global context. Please send our special congratulations to the international co-ordinator at the school who has worked so hard to co-ordinate the school’s international activities.

Your commitment to extending and embedding internationalism in your curriculum is a valuable aspect of your school ethos; the British Council will be pleased to provide you with advice, help and information at each stage of your international activity. In addition to a partner-finding facility, British Council has many other resources to support international learning including: classroom resources and professional development opportunities.

We hope you will continue to develop your work in this enriching area and that you will consider aiming for the Intermediate level and eventually to International School Award Accreditation. The International School Award team is your first point of contact for any queries regarding your involvement in the International School Award scheme. You can contact the team for advice or assistance by email: isa@britishcouncil.org.

We wish you all the best with the further development of the international work of your school.
Yours sincerely,

Irina Gecheva
