Canons Year 11 students, who started life at secondary school during Covid ended 2025 with plenty to smile about.  Students excelled in a range of subjects including English language and Literature, Photography, Religious Studies, Drama and Food with over 83% of students studying Triple Science achieving grades 9-4.

Head of Year 11, Mr Evans said, '"I am really proud of how this year group have dealt with the challenges they have faced. They have made rapid progress since the start of Year 10 and applied themselves throughout Year 11. A special thanks to the KS4 pastoral team and their Form Tutors who have worked tirelessly to support our students and were here on results day to share in their success."

Principal David Bullock said, "These students have embraced the changes the school has gone through over the past two years, and these results are testament to their effort, attitude and approach to learning. I am delighted that so many students have been accepted into our Sixth Form and will continue their studies at A-Level, BTEC and T-Level courses.

We cannot underestimate the impact Covid had on these students, but we can all be proud of their results in these exams and the opportunities this will provide in the future. A special thanks to all the staff for their hard work and their parents for all their support, it is much appreciated." 

On Thursday 21st August our Sixth Form students celebrated record A-level, BTEC and T- Level results. 34% of all A-Level grades were A*-B and students achieved a 95% pass rate for all courses.

Students who studied L3 Applied General courses achieved an average grade of a Merit+ with a record number of students achieving Distinction grades. A special mention to some of our highest performing students who achieved excellent results across a wide range of subjects:

Director of Sixth Form, Ms Smith said, "I'm delighted that over 85% of students who applied for university places have received their first choice or insurance offers. They have been an excellent year group and have applied themselves brilliantly over the two-year course and today is the product of those efforts."

Amazing Results!

Principal Mr Bullock said, "This is our first cohort of students who have undertaken the T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development qualification and students have combined both lessons at school and their industry placements with real success. I am also really pleased with the Value-Added score which builds on the success of last year.

A massive thank you to all the staff for their hard work and support and I want to congratulate all our students on their fantastic achievements."
