Visit to Bletchley Park

9th May | by Dr Shah

We had an excellent trip on Friday the 9th of May to the historical heritage attraction of Bletchley Park, with 33 of our Year 10 Computer Science students!

We all learnt a lot on the History of Computing, World War 2 Decoding and Encoding, Encryption, Decryption, Morse code and Cryptography, Alan Turing Workspace, and the Enigma machine, which have all been preserved since 1940.

Students had one hour of workshops on solving
various decoding tasks.

A statue in honour of Alan Turing (1912–1954), created in slate.

Students also enjoyed the warm spring weather with a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds of Bletchley Park...

We are proud of of our Year 10 students, who excelled in their behaviour, participation, and engagement, going above and beyond expectations!

Thank you for all your support and opportunity for the first ever Computer Science Trip.
