University and Apprenticeship Fair

An insight to different pathways!

April 6th | Mrs Halai

We took 100 Year 12 students to the University and Apprenticeship Fair which was held at the Emirates Stadium. The event brought together a wide range of universities , training providers and employers, all offering insights into different pathways after school.

Students had the opportunity to speak directly with representatives, ask questions about courses and apprenticeships programs and learn more about entry requirements.

Outside the Emirates Stadium!

Here's what some of our Year 12s had to say about their experiences:

"The Emirates trip was a really insightful experience and gave me a much clearer idea of the many pathways available after sixth form. I particularly appreciated how each university we visited provided detailed information about their courses, including what the programmes involve and the grade requirements needed to apply. It was helpful to see the wide range of options in person, which made thinking about my future feel more exciting and realistic. " - Imaan.

"From universities to apprenticeships, the Emirates trip had a wide variety of post-18 pathways possible for sixth formers to partake in. With this newfound knowledge, we are able to make informed decisions about which pathway would be best suited for us. " - May

Speaking to training providers!

"The Emirates trip was a highly beneficial and enjoyable experience. It gave me the opportunity to explore a wide range of universities and speak directly with representatives, which helped me gain a clearer understanding of different courses and future pathways.

The event also allowed me to collect useful resources, such as brochures and tote bags which I can refer back to when making decisions about my future. In addition, the social aspect of the trip helped me build confidence in speaking to new people and engaging in meaningful conversations. Overall, the trip was both informative and inspiring, and it has motivated me to think more seriously about my goals after sixth form. " - Hajer

We are glad our Year 12s enjoyed this trip, and made the most of the resources provided. We look forward to seeing how they will be helpful in our students' futures!
