The air was thick with a mixture of nervous anticipation and nostalgia, as the day served as their final opportunity to experience a day of schooling, before the countdown to exams comes to an end!

Head of Year 11, Mr Evans, began the assembly sharing a few funny and iconic moments from the year-group before certificates were handed out to both students and staff.

The cheers for Mr Barrett were loud enough to echo across the hall!

Mr Evans won the award for the "Deadest Jokes", a unanimous decision from the students unfortunately for him

Two artistic depictions of characters from the show "The Boondocks"

Canons' students never fail to express their outstanding creativity through their art when shirt signing.  Some of the shirts this year were especially outstanding with references to artists, film and TV such as Sanrio, The Boondocks, Marvel, Jujutsu Kaisen, Bratz and so many more.

Although the Canons' uniform no longer uses white shirts, students made use of their old uniforms to make their designs stand out!

Students also incorporated their culture through adding their names in different languages, or representing through using the colours of different flags.  

Mr Evans' shirt was covered in students' messages by the end of the day!

It's hard to say goodbye...for now! 

After the assembly, students gathered by the gates for one final goodbye, after 5 years of consistent routine and hard-work. Change and new beginnings can be scary, but growth is always the result of such changes! You have all grown throughout your years at Canons, these exams are your first step on your new path to success!
