Year 11's Prom
2nd July
After an arduous term of high tension and GCSE exams, our Year 11 students said goodbye in style, with the chance to dress their best, and sing their hearts out!
Last night was the long-awaited Prom for our leavers, a milestone to celebrate academic achievements, and memories forged over the past 5 years. This transition may have seemed daunting throughout their important final year, but prom provides a moment of relief and celebration now that they have completed their GCSE exams. For our students, this was one of their last opportunities to come together with their friends before embarking on new adventures!
Gorgeous matching colour scheme!
Suave and Sophisticated?
Students prepare for prom months in advance, choosing their attire took meticulous planning and detail. It is an opportunity for students to express their individuality through their fashion, and Canons Students ensured that our high-school was no exception! The Year 11s arrived in an array of detailed evening ballgowns, stunning cultural garments, tuxedos and dazzling 3 piece suits which added an air of sophistication and elegance. Friends and couples coordinated their outfits, choosing matching colours or complementary styles.
Beautifully coordinated outfits!
A particularly meaningful moment of the night was the crowning of the Prom King and Queen, congratulations to the winners!

Many students took a moment to express their gratitude to beloved teachers and mentors who attended the evening. Students shared personal anecdotes about how a teacher had influenced their career choices through their guidance and passion.
A final message from the Year 11's Head of Year, Mr Evans:"Nothing too soppy from me, I would like to say it was lovely to see Year 11 having an opportunity to blow off steam and have a well deserved celebration for all their hard-work.
To my Year 11s, Remember Canons will always be a part of you, and you will always be a part of Canons!"
