Canons High School

Visit to the Supreme Court

Our Year 12 Law students enjoyed an inspiring trip to the Supreme Court this week!

November 17th | Ms Waseem

Students were treated to a tour of the historic Westminster Hall—where Queen Elizabeth II lay in state and Nelson Mandela once addressed Parliament—giving them a powerful sense of the nation’s constitutional heritage. The visit truly opened their eyes to the machinations of the legislative process, seeing firsthand how laws are debated, interpreted and shaped.

Hear, Hear! The Right Honourable members for Canons have arrived!

Our Law students enjoyed their inspiring visit to the Supreme Court, gaining invaluable insights that directly support their A Level Law curriculum.

Year 12, with Ms Waseem and MP Bob Blackman!

The trip also offered an exceptional  opportunity as students met Bob Blackman MP for Harrow East along with watching debates in the House of Lords and Commons.

Never ones to hold back, our students also gave our local MP a thorough grilling on knife crime, illegal immigration and the challenges posed by the rising cost of living.

A memorable and empowering day for all involved! Watch this space for our budding MPs of the future!
