Check your email inbox for a bulletin from Mr Brown and the Key Stage 3 Team which contains some useful information about starting year 7 at Canons High School.

 Wednesday 1st  July  

Transition day                    
An opportunity for your child to come along to Canons for the day. They will meet their new tutor and participate in activities which help them get to know one another. They will also meet their new teachers and discover more about the subjects they will be learning at secondary school.
 

Wednesday 8th July     5.30-7pm 

Parents Transition Evening                        
Presentations from the Head of Year 7, members of the Senior Leadership team and current Year 7 student leaders.
An opportunity for parents to meet the KS3 Pastoral team and your child’s form tutor.

2 weeks 20th July –31st July

Summer sports camp
Free of charge to all Year 7 students, our summer sports camp focuses on team building, competing and enjoying sport. Helping your child to make new friends, the prime aim is to ensure an enjoyable and a valuable experience, with the chance to learn and build skills in a range of sports.

Friday 4th September 

Welcome day
Your child’s first day as part of our Canons community.

Friday 18th September 

Team building day
A day full of team building exercises and fun activities on our school field, to alleviate the nerves of settling in. The main purpose is to encourage collaboration, and foster a sense of belonging between your child and their peers.
